Head of Growth at GoodRec

We started GoodRec four years ago in a small Brooklyn community, and we have since evolved into the largest pickup sports application in North America. Our mission is to make finding a game, league, or tournament as simple as a single tap on your phone. As we prepare to expand our footprint into Europe, APAC, and LATAM over the next five years, we are looking for passionate individuals to help us change the way the world plays sports.

The role

We are seeking a Head of Growth to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position designed for a strategic leader who is ready to take ownership of our player and lifecycle processes. You will be instrumental in building a high-performance engine that drives engagement and retention across our global user base.

Core responsibilities

• Analyze and leverage data alongside customer research to provide actionable insights that accelerate company growth.
• Own the entire player lifecycle, including the development of automated, data-driven communication strategies for players, hosts, and facilities.
• Design and execute comprehensive growth processes that guide users through every stage of their relationship with our platform, from initial activation to long-term retention.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience working within growth, lifecycle, or CRM teams at hypergrowth B2C marketplace companies.
• Strong technical proficiency in SQL and experience with data analysis tools such as Google Analytics and Amplitude.
• Proven expertise in A/B testing, multivariate testing, and optimizing complex user journeys.
• A deep understanding of market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities for funnel conversion.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
• A user-centric mindset with the ability to translate behavioral data into practical, high-impact decisions.
