We are looking for a visionary to join our team and help us scale a category-leading product that already supports millions of people. At Propel, we build modern technology to help low-income Americans access government benefits, and we want you to help us reach even more families.
Role at a glance
We are seeking our first Head of Growth Marketing to lead our user acquisition efforts. This is a full-time, executive-level position that operates on a hybrid basis. You will report directly to our Co-Founder and CEO, Jimmy Chen, and will have the flexibility to work from anywhere.
Your impact
- Own user acquisition strategy by managing our paid marketing budget, driving product-led growth initiatives, and identifying new viral growth levers.
- Lead our SEO and content efforts to create authoritative resources that help users navigate government benefits while meeting our business objectives.
- Manage and mentor our growth team, providing the direction and support necessary for our talented marketers to succeed.
What you'll need
You should be a creative, data-driven thinker who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level. We are looking for someone who possesses the following:
- Over 10 years of experience in growth and user acquisition, specifically with consumer mobile apps on iOS, Android, and mobile web.
- Deep expertise in SEO trends, content marketing, and managing high-performing teams for at least 3 years.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL and experience using modern analytics tools like Metabase and Amplitude.
- A firm grasp of mobile metrics, including DAU/MAU ratios and retention benchmarks.
- Fluency in English and a genuine passion for our mission to improve the financial lives of low-income Americans.

The expected salary for this role is $210,000 to $275,000, based on your experience and internal leveling. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your health, well-being, and professional growth:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401k plan with a 4% company match.
- Generous paid time off.
- Remote and hybrid work flexibility.
- Professional development opportunities.
- Life insurance coverage.
