What is this role?

We are looking for a Head of Engineering to join our team in Slovenia on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a lead-level position for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to turn complex technical challenges into actionable solutions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering culture and ensuring our products remain at the forefront of the fintech and crypto industry.

What will you do?

• Build and lead high-performing engineering teams to develop robust features, services, and infrastructure.
• Oversee the architecture and design of our core systems, ensuring they are secure, resilient, and highly maintainable.
• Drive our IT and data strategy by implementing modern tooling, promoting the smart use of AI tools, and ensuring full alignment with ISMS and compliance standards.

To succeed in this role, you should bring a strong technical background and a passion for leadership. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, with 2 to 3 years specifically in engineering leadership.
• A deep understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Proven experience working within regulated environments, including a solid grasp of compliance and information security management.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in English.
• A track record of mentoring teams and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
