Head of Engineering at Grepr

We are Grepr, a deep tech startup based in San Francisco that is backed by prominent investors like Andreessen Horowitz and Boldstart Capital. Our team uses advanced machine learning to analyze observability data, helping businesses improve the reliability of their software. We are currently searching for a Head of Engineering to join us on a full-time, on-site basis. In this executive role, you will help us scale our product and our company culture from the ground up, working closely with a high-performing team that values collaboration, focus, and open communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a talented engineering team while fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Collaborate on architectural planning and product strategy to ensure we deliver an exceptional experience for our enterprise customers.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from initial inception to final delivery, while maintaining a strong partnership with product management.

Requirements

We are looking for a leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for building teams. You should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 10 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 4 years in a technical leadership capacity.
• Proven success in delivering infrastructure software for B2B cloud environments.
• Experience building and scaling real-time data processing or AI applications within a SaaS model.
• Strong proficiency in Java and experience with stream processing systems, particularly Apache Flink.
• A track record of working effectively with large enterprise clients and their specific technical requirements.
