The opportunity

We are seeking a Head of Engineering to guide our technical strategy and empower our talented development team. This is a high-impact, executive-level role where you will bridge the gap between complex system design and our broader product vision. You will work closely with our Product Team to ensure our services remain scalable, robust, and high-quality. While you possess a deep technical background, your focus will be on setting the right direction, mentoring our engineers, and fostering a culture of growth and innovation.

A day in the life

• You will balance your time across three key areas, spending roughly a third of your week on people management, a third on project design and strategy, and a third staying close to the code through reviews or pair programming.
• You will act as a bridge between stakeholders and the engineering team, ensuring our roadmap is clearly defined, scoped, and delivered with excellence.
• You will nurture our internal talent by providing coaching, managing performance, and identifying opportunities to grow the team to meet our ambitious product goals.

Who you are

You are a seasoned leader who thrives in a hybrid environment and brings a wealth of experience to the table. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• You have at least 6 years of experience managing engineering teams and 7 years of experience as a Full Stack developer.
• You are fluent in French and possess excellent communication skills in English.
• You are technically proficient in Symfony 6 and modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or Vue.js.
• You have a strong grasp of testing frameworks such as PHPUnit, Behat, and Cypress, along with a solid understanding of DevOps principles.
• You are a data-driven problem solver who is passionate about our vision of revolutionizing the rental market.
