About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Engineering to join us on a full-time basis. This is an executive-level position where you will be responsible for building and enabling a high-performing engineering team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical strategy and ensuring that our platform continues to deliver value as we expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and manage a world-class engineering team while setting clear goals and providing consistent coaching.
- Oversee the design and delivery of robust, scalable solutions that maintain our high standards for performance and security.
- Collaborate across the organization to align our technical roadmaps with our broader company objectives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and traits:
- Proven experience in technical leadership and managing high-performance engineering teams through periods of significant scaling.
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, focusing on how technology serves our users and business goals rather than just technical purity.
- Deep technical expertise and the ability to navigate complex challenges related to scalability and security compliance.
- A genuine passion for education and improving the lives of students and teachers.
- Current Australian working rights are required for all applicants.
