About the Role

We are searching for a Head of Engineering to join us in a full-time capacity. This is a pivotal executive role where you will guide our technical strategy and team growth as we scale our disruptive database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead a small, high-velocity team focused on creating a groundbreaking product within the database space.
• Collaborate directly with our CEO, CTO, and early customers to ensure our technical development aligns perfectly with our business objectives.
• Implement efficient practices that allow the team to meet ambitious deadlines while upholding the highest standards of software quality.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you should bring the following qualifications and expertise:

• Proven experience leading teams of high-urgency software engineers.
• A deep understanding of database systems design, data structures, algorithms, and low-latency programming.
• A track record of solving complex software challenges, such as building compilers or mission-critical distributed systems.
• A keen ability to identify and recruit talented engineers, including those early in their careers.
• The communication skills necessary to explain intricate technical concepts in simple terms.
• Familiarity with our current technology stack, which includes Linux, C++, Postgres SQL, TypeScript, Docker, Azure Cloud, and Azure DevOps.
