About the Role

We are searching for a Head of Engineering to join our Marketplace team on a full-time basis. In this executive-level role, you will be responsible for the future development of our primary product as it evolves to integrate with new services like HousingAnywhere Payments. You will balance your time between people management, project design, and technical contributions to ensure our systems remain scalable and high-quality. This is a hybrid position based in the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Marketplace team to ensure effective delivery of the product roadmap while identifying and removing bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with product managers to set ambitious goals and provide the necessary technical direction to achieve them.
• Foster a high-performance culture by nurturing talent, providing actionable feedback, and promoting a growth mindset across the team.

Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned leader with approximately 10 years of experience in building complex, large-scale systems. You should possess a strong technical background and be comfortable working across the stack, specifically with React, TypeScript, and Go. You must be a natural multiplier who finds fulfillment in coaching others and delegating effectively. Proficiency in English is required to collaborate with our diverse international team.

This role is based in the Netherlands and operates under a hybrid work model.
