What you bring

We are seeking an experienced leader to serve as Head of Application Development and Architecture on a full-time basis. In this executive-level role you will guide the design, development, and ongoing support of our cloud-based applications while managing both onshore and offshore development teams. You will combine strategic oversight with hands-on coding, testing, and troubleshooting to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our product owners and customers. The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office and two days working from home within the United States.

• Define and implement the overall architecture and development strategy using Azure, Salesforce, and .NET technologies.
• Manage and mentor developers to ensure high-quality code, adherence to best practices, and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure applications.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and brings at least ten years of software-development experience, including five years in a senior or lead capacity. You have architected, developed, and supported cloud-based applications with Azure, Salesforce, and .NET, and you possess strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and managing distributed or offshore teams is essential. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work both independently and within a team, round out your profile. Knowledge of data principles such as modeling, governance, and security is highly valued, and familiarity with insurance or insurance brokerage is a plus. All work is conducted in English.

What we offer

The national average annual base salary for this role ranges from $160,000 to $200,000, exclusive of bonuses or benefits; the final offer will reflect your experience, skills, and internal equity considerations.
