We are looking for a Hardware Test & Verification Engineer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. At Carbon Robotics, we are transforming agriculture by using advanced robotics, AI, and laser technology to eliminate weeds without the need for herbicides. Our LaserWeeder™ is designed in Seattle and manufactured in Richland, Washington, helping farmers improve soil health and reduce costs. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of component-level qualification tests, including shock, vibration, climatic, power distribution, and structural testing.
- Manage component-level acceptance testing by coordinating with vendors to ensure test plans are followed and conducting audits as needed.
- Develop and execute full-system integrated tests to ensure our robotics products meet all performance, functionality, and reliability requirements.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in strategic and hands-on verification, validation, and testing roles.
- Extensive technical proficiency with test equipment for shock, vibration, climatic, and power distribution scenarios.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles, with the ability to use Solidworks and Altium.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards such as UL, IPC, and SAE.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time to visit vendors, test houses, and field units.
