About the Role
We are seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will lead a group of mechanical and electrical engineers, overseeing the entire lifecycle of our hardware products. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, mentoring your team, and ensuring our development processes are efficient, high-quality, and aligned with our broader business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineers while conducting performance reviews and supporting individual career growth.
- Oversee the full new product development process, ensuring that designs meet both technical specifications and business requirements from ideation to manufacturing.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and risk assessments while serving as the primary point of contact for hardware engineering updates to senior leadership.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- At least ten years of experience in systems and design development.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a leadership or project management capacity.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for various stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead teams through new product development processes and a deep understanding of manufacturing requirements.
- A proactive, analytical mindset with a high level of integrity and a collaborative spirit.
Location
This position is based on-site in Lincoln, NE. Please note that this role requires travel approximately three times per year to our Bourne, MA location, with occasional additional travel as needed to support team integrations.
