At BlueSpace.ai, we are changing the way the world thinks about self-driving technology. Our team is moving beyond traditional software limitations by using patented 4D Predictive Perception. By utilizing next-generation 4D sensors, we can predict the motion of objects with incredible precision, which lowers latency and creates a new benchmark for safety in the autonomous vehicle industry. Our team is composed of experts from top research institutions and major automotive manufacturers, and we have already successfully launched services across California, Texas, and Florida. We are looking for people who are excited to solve the hardest problems in mobility and help us build the future of transportation.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be a key player in the development of our autonomous vehicle systems. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering concepts and physical reality, ensuring our hardware is as robust and reliable as the software it supports. This is a hybrid position based in the United States, where you will work alongside a collaborative group of engineers to push the boundaries of what our vehicles can achieve.
A day in the life
- You will design and develop custom hardware enclosures for the electronic systems that power our autonomous vehicles.
- You will manage the entire lifecycle of hardware components, from selecting and supervising vendors to ensuring that every part meets our strict quality and performance standards.
- You will perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure our hardware can withstand the demands of rugged, real-world environments.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in hardware design, ideally within the robotics, GNSS, or autonomous vehicle sectors. You possess a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, though an advanced degree is a plus. You are highly proficient in CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and you have a deep understanding of how to source and integrate off-the-shelf components effectively. You communicate clearly, manage projects with precision, and have a sharp eye for detail when it comes to problem-solving. If you have experience with thermal management or EMI/EMC considerations, you will fit right in with our technical challenges.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in providing our team with the flexibility they need to do their best work. You will enjoy a hybrid work arrangement that balances collaborative office time with the autonomy to manage your schedule. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to building a diverse team where every voice is valued.
