The role
We are looking for a Senior Hardware EE Validation Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This position is perfect for an experienced engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about the rigorous testing and validation of consumer electronics. You will play a vital role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our hardware systems by applying your expertise in electrical engineering and system diagnostics.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the validation and testing of complex embedded hardware systems to ensure they meet our high performance standards.
- Perform deep-level hardware debugging and electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve functional issues.
- Collaborate with our design teams to analyze signal integrity, measure power consumption, and implement design improvements based on your findings.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We require the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with hardware and electrical level debugging.
- Practical knowledge of communication protocols including I2C, SPI, and MIPI.
- Proficiency with lab test equipment such as VNAs and MIPI analyzers.
- Experience with scripting for test automation and data analysis, with a preference for Python.
- A strong ability to conduct hands-on testing and document detailed, actionable reports.
