What you bring

As a Senior Hadoop Administrator working on a full-time basis, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our clusters. This on-site position is based in Bangalore or Hyderabad. Your primary responsibilities will include the following:

• Managing daily operational tasks, including incident resolution, problem tracking, and change management.
• Monitoring cluster performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth job execution.
• Developing automation scripts to streamline Linux administration and system maintenance.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have over five years of overall professional experience, with at least one to three years specifically focused on Hadoop administration. We value candidates who possess strong Linux administration skills and a deep understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem, including MapR, MapR DB, and HBase. You must be comfortable with 24/7 production support and have a solid grasp of capacity planning, network services, and middleware technologies like Tomcat, Jboss, or Kibana. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell is essential, and familiarity with automation tools like Puppet or Stack-IQ is considered a significant advantage. Strong communication skills in English are required to collaborate effectively with our global team.
