Role at a glance
We are searching for a Senior Grid Integration Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United States, perfect for a professional with deep expertise in transmission and distribution power systems. You will play a pivotal role in our engineering department, ensuring our solar projects integrate seamlessly into the electrical grid while maintaining peak performance and stability.
Your impact
- Design and execute comprehensive grid integration strategies for solar projects, ensuring every installation meets strict regulatory standards and grid codes.
- Perform detailed technical assessments and feasibility studies, including self-modeled power flow analysis, to evaluate grid impact and identify effective mitigation solutions.
- Collaborate across teams to develop and run validation test plans, providing technical support from the initial project planning phase through to final commissioning.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong technical background and a collaborative spirit. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field, with a Master’s degree or a strong focus on power systems preferred.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in power systems analysis, specifically within distribution or transmission planning and grid integration teams.
- Proficiency with industry-standard grid modeling software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Cyme, or Synergi.
- A solid understanding of industry standards including IEEE, IEC, and NEC.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to solve complex technical challenges.
- A proven track record of delivering projects successfully while managing budget and schedule constraints.
