We are currently looking for a Senior GraphQL Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis within the United States. Key outcomes
- Design, build, and maintain robust GraphQL schemas and resolvers to power our application functionality.
- Utilize Apollo Server to manage APIs, implementing advanced features like state management and caching.
- Develop and manage GraphQL mutations and queries to ensure high performance and seamless data integration.
- Architect APIs using microservices, JSON, and JWT for secure, token-based authentication.
- Perform rigorous testing and debugging of GraphQL APIs to guarantee reliability.
- Work closely with product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to the Agile development process by drafting and refining user stories.
- Enhance API security protocols by utilizing tools such as 42Crunch for auditing and threat protection.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience with a specific focus on GraphQL.
- Expertise in designing and implementing schemas and APIs using Apollo Server.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Practical experience with Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot or Spring Reactive.
- A solid grasp of Agile methodologies, including the ability to draft and refine user stories.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on skills in GraphQL query optimization, caching, and state management, alongside experience with testing and debugging frameworks.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with database technologies such as Postgres, MongoDB, or AlloyDB.
- Knowledge of API design patterns, including microservices and JWT authentication.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Cloud Build or GCP Artifact Registry.
- Exposure to Go-lang, RUST, or Netflix DGS APIs.
- Experience using performance monitoring and logging tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or Cloud Monitoring.
