Graphics Programmer at Build A Rocket Boy

We are currently building EVERYWHERE, an ambitious experience designed to offer a vast breadth of gameplay adventures. What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Graphics Programmer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote-friendly position, though we also have office locations in Edinburgh and Budapest. You will play a vital role in developing state of the art visuals for our groundbreaking new game by collaborating with various departments to implement, maintain, and optimize our engine and rendering features.

What will you do?

• Design and deliver high-performance rendering systems by utilizing effective data structures, algorithms, and appropriate levels of abstraction.
• Analyze and enhance performance and memory usage across all target platforms.
• Take ownership of your code by testing, documenting, and maintaining the systems you build.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter who communicates clearly and works well within a multidisciplinary team of artists, designers, and fellow programmers. You will need the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience in C++ and professional graphics programming.
• Proficiency in shader languages such as HLSL and GLSL.
• A deep understanding of modern GPU pipelines and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with modern graphics APIs like DirectX and Vulkan.
• A track record of implementing, debugging, and optimizing complex graphics systems.
• Bonus: Having shipped at least one multi-platform title on PC and current-generation consoles as a graphics engineer.
