The opportunity

We are looking for a Government Affairs Lead to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. In this senior-level role, you will serve as our primary advocate, building and maintaining vital relationships with federal agencies, the executive branch, and Congress. You will act as a key voice for fusion energy policy, ensuring that our mission is understood and supported at the highest levels of government. By applying your expertise in policy and your talent for strategic influence, you will help shape the regulatory and legislative landscape that will allow our technology to thrive.

A day in the life

• You will lead our federal advocacy efforts by managing relationships with key stakeholders, including the DOE and DOD, while also coordinating with lobbyists and trade associations to pursue strategic partnerships.
• You will represent Xcimer in high-level forums and deliver compelling briefings to senior audiences, ensuring our policy goals are clearly communicated and understood.
• You will track and analyze emerging legislation and administrative actions, providing the insights needed to navigate the energy policy environment at both the state and federal levels.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with at least seven years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of energy policy or federal government operations. You possess strong communication and presentation skills, allowing you to influence decision-makers and solve complex problems with ease. Because of the nature of this work, you must be a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident, or a refugee or asylee lawfully admitted into the country. You are a strategic thinker who is comfortable navigating the complexities of Congress and executive agencies, and you are ready to apply your dedication to quality to the future of clean energy.
