Role at a glance

We are looking for a Senior Golang Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, and we are open to candidates based in the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, China, India, and the Philippines.

Your impact

• You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of a high-performance KVM manager written in Go to power our cloud offerings.
• You will architect our virtualization infrastructure to ensure maximum scalability, high availability, and peak performance for diverse workloads.
• You will collaborate with our cloud architects and infrastructure teams to build robust APIs and automation tools that streamline VM provisioning and lifecycle management.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should have a deep technical background and a passion for building complex systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including 3 years specifically focused on KVM engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Go and a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of virtualization concepts, including hypervisors, kernel modules, libvirt, qemu-img, and virtio drivers.
• A solid understanding of Linux kernel internals, resource isolation, and networking technologies like SDN, VLANs, and OVS.
• Experience working with storage systems such as Ceph, iSCSI, or NFS.
• Strong communication skills in English and experience thriving in a distributed, remote team environment.
