The opportunity

We are looking for a Global Security Intern to join our remote team. This role is perfect for someone who wants to dive deep into data and contribute to a platform that makes a real difference. You will work closely with our core teams to source and refine the information that powers our intelligence tools. Since we operate on a global scale, your work will directly influence how we visualize and understand safety trends across different regions.

A day in the life

• You will spend your time scouring publicly available databases and official government statistical websites to uncover valuable crime data.
• You will take raw information and perform data cleaning and manipulation to ensure our datasets are accurate and ready for analysis.
• You will collaborate with our engineering and product teams to integrate these findings into our visualization platform, ensuring our intelligence remains current and reliable.

Who you are

You are a motivated, self-starting individual who thrives in an agile team environment. We value candidates who bring a unique perspective, whether through their academic background or their technical expertise. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A background in fields such as economics, computer science, data science, international relations, or linguistics.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of database management.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English, with bonus points if you are fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Previous experience in the technology industry is considered a great asset.
