At Base Operations, we are creating the most comprehensive dataset of global threat patterns and street-level intelligence in the world. We are looking for a Global Security Intern to join our remote team and help us expand our global footprint by working alongside our engineering and product experts to gather data for our crime visualization platform.
Responsibilities
- Scour government websites and public databases to identify relevant crime statistics.
- Clean, organize, and manipulate complex datasets to ensure data integrity.
Must-haves
- Current studies in fields such as economics, computer science, data science, or international relations.
- Strong proficiency using Excel for data tasks.
- Practical experience with database management.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude and the ability to thrive as an agile team player.
Nice-to-haves
- Fluency in languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, or Mandarin.
- Previous experience working within the technology industry.
