Are you ready to shape the rhythm and flow of one of the world’s most popular VR rhythm games? We’re looking for a Gameplay Software Engineer III to join our engineering team and help keep Beat Saber at the forefront of interactive entertainment.

What you bring

We are hiring a senior Gameplay Software Engineer III for a full-time, on-site role in the United States. In this position you will collaborate daily with other engineers to deliver new features for Beat Saber, take ownership of significant sections of the codebase, and continuously improve code quality and stability. You will also optimize systems to deliver the best possible performance across multiple platforms. The role is based in the United States and centers on Engineering, C#, Unity, and 3D development.

• Work with a team of engineers to implement new features into Beat Saber, including integrating new platform services, game content, and more.
• Own major areas of the codebase while maintaining and improving code quality and stability.
• Optimize various systems for best performance across platforms.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who hold a BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or who have gained equivalent industry experience. You should bring five to seven years of game-development experience, strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming, and a solid grasp of component-oriented architecture. The ideal teammate writes clean, encapsulated, testable, and well-documented code, can work independently with minimal supervision, and thrives when juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Experience guiding a product through the full development lifecycle-from requirements and specifications to release and sustaining engineering-is essential. We require fluency in English, and we value candidates who demonstrate both technical depth and clear communication skills.
