We are Black Apple Solutions, and we are currently seeking motivated individuals to join a seasonal project with a prominent software company located in Redmond, Washington. This role offers a unique chance to gain foundational experience within the gaming industry. As an on-site contractor, you will work directly from our facility to help ensure the quality of our software products.

Key outcomes

• Execute, follow, and update assigned test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Identify, research, and document software defects within our tracking system, while verifying subsequent fixes.
• Review product documentation to identify and report any errors.
• Perform thorough sweeps of game builds to detect software errors and gameplay issues.
• Conduct ad-hoc testing to uncover bugs and verify potential in-game combinations.
• Generate detailed bug reports that clearly outline the steps required for reproduction.
• Verify games for correct spelling, rating compliance, technical requirements, and legal standards.

Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• A high school diploma is preferred.
• You should possess intermediate computer skills and be comfortable working with PCs.
• Strong verbal communication skills are essential for team collaboration.
• You must be available to work full 8-hour shifts, typically between 8:00 AM and 4:45 PM.
• We require high flexibility and the ability to respond to SMS notifications on short notice.
• You must be able to commit to a schedule of at least 4 to 5 days per week.
• A detail-oriented mindset, patience, and the ability to work effectively within a team are required.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience playing console video games.
• Previous experience with beta testing.
• A formal certificate in Quality Assurance.
• Familiarity with gaming culture.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from 22000 USD to 29000 USD. Specifically, English testers receive 11 USD per hour, while language testers receive 14 USD per hour.
