We are looking for a Senior Functional Safety Systems Engineer to join our team on-site in the United States and help us shape the future of safe, autonomous industrial vehicles.
What you'll be doing
- You will lead and manage all functional safety activities throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring our systems meet the highest safety standards.
- You will establish and maintain a comprehensive Functional Safety Management System for both our hardware and software components.
- You will conduct rigorous risk analyses and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses to develop robust safety cases for our autonomous industrial trucks.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in functional safety processes and regulatory compliance. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in functional safety engineering, ideally within the robotics or autonomous systems sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of safety standards such as ISO 3691-4, ANSI B56.5, and IEC 61508.
- Proven expertise in risk analysis methodologies and the ability to design safety systems for complex hardware and software architectures.
- Excellent communication skills in English, allowing you to present technical safety cases to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- A certification as a Functional Safety Professional is considered a significant plus.
