We’re on a mission to protect society from fraud and money laundering. Thirdfort has already safeguarded more than three million people through major life transactions such as buying property. Our platform gives regulated professionals-lawyers, estate agents and accountants-a secure, app-based way to complete identity checks, verify documents and move funds safely. Over 1,500 businesses now rely on us, and we are backed by leading fintech investors after raising more than $33 million.
The role
We are hiring a Fullstack Software Engineer (IC2) on a full-time, remote basis within the United Kingdom. This mid-to-senior individual-contributor position suits someone who enjoys owning features from concept through production and wants to work across both backend and frontend codebases in a regulated, high-trust environment.
Core responsibilities
- Design, build and ship well-tested features across the platform, taking ownership of user stories from refinement to release and post-release support.
- Collaborate daily with Product and Design to translate requirements into pragmatic technical solutions while writing clean, maintainable code and improving quality through reviews and refactoring.
- Participate in incident investigation and support, helping to strengthen system reliability and observability over time.
Skills and experience
You will thrive in this role if you have already shipped production software as part of a team and are comfortable working across the full stack. We value strong engineering fundamentals-APIs, data modelling, testing and version control-more than any single language, yet experience with Go, TypeScript or React is advantageous. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues, enjoy solving problems end-to-end, and use AI tools to accelerate learning and routine tasks. We work in English, and all team members are based in the United Kingdom.
Compensation and benefits
The position offers a base salary of 70,000 GBP. In addition, you will receive flexible working hours, remote work within the UK with optional access to offices in London or Manchester, 26 days of annual leave rising to 30 with tenure plus the option to buy extra days, enhanced parental and sick leave, private healthcare through AXA, an uncapped professional-development budget, share options, a customisable wellness budget and regular company socials.
How to apply
If this mission and the opportunity to build secure, scalable systems in a collaborative remote-first environment resonate with you, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and welcome applications from candidates who may not meet every single requirement listed.
