Hivemapper is building a decentralized global mapping network powered by tens of thousands of contributors. We capture high-resolution imagery and sensor data to create a living map of the world. With our sights set on growing our contributor base by 10x this year, we are providing transparent access to map features for industries ranging from robotaxis to real estate. Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site role based in the United States. You will be instrumental in leading the development of our next-generation map data infrastructure and navigation applications.
Your impact
- Build and scale our next-generation map data platform to support massive amounts of information.
- Collaborate across the full stack, from raw data processing to high-performance rendering.
- Partner with our R&D and embedded teams to prototype and launch novel, interactive 3D experiences.
What you'll need
We are looking for a self-driven engineer who is passionate about complex algorithmic challenges and data visualization. You should be fluent in English and possess the following qualifications:
- Strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript across both frontend and backend environments.
- Deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms, specifically applied to navigation and computational geometry.
- Proven experience shipping map-based data products to a large audience.
- A desire to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with our design and mobile teams.
