Hivemapper is building a decentralized global mapping network powered by tens of thousands of contributors. We collect high-resolution imagery and sensor data to create a living, breathing map of the world. With our sights set on growing our contributor base tenfold in 2024, we are constantly launching new data products for industries ranging from ridesharing to real estate. Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. You will be at the heart of our mission, leading the development of our next-generation map data infrastructure and navigation applications. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where data drives every decision.
Your impact
- Build and scale our next-generation map data platform to support massive volumes of information.
- Own the full stack, from backend data processing to high-performance frontend rendering.
- Collaborate with our R&D and mobile teams to prototype and ship interactive, real-time 3D mapping experiences.
What you'll need
- Deep expertise in Maps and Computational Geometry.
- Strong command of Data Structures and Algorithms to solve complex navigation challenges.
- Professional proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript across both frontend and backend environments.
- A proven track record of shipping map-based data products to large audiences.
- Bonus points if you have experience with mobile development in Swift, Kotlin, or Java, or if you have worked with Spark, Hadoop, or remote sensing applications.
