Fullstack Software Engineer, Applications at Haus

Haus is a pioneering decision science platform that helps brands navigate the modern digital privacy landscape by using advanced causal inference and econometric models. Our team, comprised of veterans from companies like Google, Netflix, and Amazon, is dedicated to democratizing high-quality experiment design and data analysis for well-known brands like FanDuel and Sonos.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust APIs that provide our customers with actionable insights.
• Create seamless and engaging user experiences that interface with our backend systems.
• Design and implement internal process improvements to streamline our operations.
• Serve as an early leader to help scale and shape our growing engineering organization.
• Contribute to an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.
• Build and refine monitoring tools to track feature performance and viability in real-world scenarios.
• Take full ownership of the features you build from initial concept to final deployment.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of professional experience in building web applications and APIs.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern state management techniques.
• Expertise in at least one object-oriented language, such as Python, Scala, Golang, or Java.
• A deep commitment to creating well-designed and thoroughly documented APIs.
• Proven experience working within cloud-based environments.
• Practical knowledge of relational databases, specifically SQL.
• Prior experience serving in a technical leadership capacity.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A genuine passion for building world-class products.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience working in an early-stage startup environment.
• Familiarity with Flask or other Python-based web frameworks.
• Experience using React Query and XState for managing frontend state.
• Background in building data integrations with third-party sources.
