The role
We are looking for a Senior FullStack Software Development Engineer to join our Site Engineering team. This is a full-time, remote position based in Colombia, though you may occasionally travel to a GoDaddy office for team meetings or events. You will play a pivotal role in building our customer-facing purchase experience platform from the ground up, helping our commerce customers expand their digital footprint and grow their sales.
Core responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance code deployed on the AWS cloud.
- Implement and test both client and server-side platforms while ensuring code quality through rigorous unit and integration testing.
- Resolve production issues as part of our DevOps on-call rotation and mentor fellow engineers through code reviews and technical documentation.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in front-end and back-end development. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on front-end solutions.
- Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, React, Redux, Next.js, and Webpack.
- Proven ability to design and develop RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like Cypress and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience in leadership or coaching to support junior team members.
- Strong proficiency in version control, specifically Git, and agile development practices.
