Fullstack Engineer at Linear

The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our small, agile team. In this role, you will act as a generalist, taking ownership of complex problems and seeing them through to completion. You will work within a sophisticated stack to build scalable systems that provide a solid foundation for our product. While you do not need to be an expert in every tool we use, you should possess strong JavaScript fundamentals and significant experience working with React and TypeScript.

A day in the life

• You will build new user-facing features, handling everything from database models and GraphQL resolvers to the final UI components.
• You will enhance our data synchronization stack by implementing more efficient serialization protocols and adding real-time collaborative editing capabilities to our content editor.
• You will improve overall system performance by profiling and optimizing virtualized list rendering, while also adding monitoring and analytics to help us respond effectively to operational incidents.

Who you are

You are an experienced engineer who thrives in a remote-first environment. You communicate effectively in English and are comfortable working within North American or European time zones. You have a passion for building high-quality software and are excited to work closely with product, performance, and real-world scale. You are comfortable navigating our tech stack, which includes TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node, Postgres, Redis, Temporal, and MobX.
