At Unzer, we are on a mission to simplify international payments for retail and e-commerce businesses across Europe. Our company was built by bringing together 13 distinct organizations to create a unified commerce platform that covers the entire payment journey. With a diverse team of over 700 experts representing 55 nationalities, we are dedicated to providing seamless shopping experiences for customers everywhere. We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our foundations group, which manages critical merchant-facing software including gateways, billing systems, and onboarding tools.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in designing and maintaining the software products that power our payment infrastructure. You will work within a collaborative, hybrid environment to build robust solutions that help our merchants succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and rigorously test cloud-based microservices to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Contribute to the design of our software products by drafting detailed technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the team to uphold our technical standards while actively participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should bring the following qualifications and skills:
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with Java 17 or higher, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- A strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Practical experience with microservices, messaging protocols, Git, and feature-driven development.
- A commitment to thorough testing and documentation of all your code.
- Experience using monitoring tools such as Datadog and OpenSearch.
- A solid background in architecture design and the application of common design patterns.
Location
This position is based in Germany and operates on a hybrid work model.
