Fullstack Engineer Tech Lead at Turnstile

The role

We are seeking a Fullstack Engineer Tech Lead to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a lead-level position designed for someone with significant experience in early-stage environments. You will work closely with our technical founders to architect our product, mentor our engineering team, and establish the technical standards that will carry us through our next phase of growth.

Core responsibilities

• Architect and deliver end-to-end features that serve as the foundation of our product.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to our engineering team to ensure high-quality execution.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex business logic into reliable, intuitive software systems.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a track record of leading teams in fast-paced environments. We value candidates who have:

• At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, balancing hands-on coding with team mentorship.
• Experience as a founder or an early-stage startup engineer, with the ability to navigate high-ambiguity projects.
• Proficiency in React for the frontend and experience building REST APIs or GraphQL services using Node.js or Flask.
• Practical experience integrating with third-party SaaS tools such as Stripe, Twilio, Segment, or Docusign.
• Operational maturity, including a deep understanding of production system reliability and debugging.
• Professional fluency in English.

Compensation and benefits
