About the Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this mid-level role, you will be instrumental in developing the core software platform and tools that power our quantum computing systems. You will work alongside a collaborative team of scientists and engineers to build innovative solutions, contributing to every stage of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate complex functional requirements into technical specifications by collaborating closely with our product managers and research scientists.
- Design and implement intuitive user interfaces while building robust, efficient, and maintainable back-end systems.
- Ensure high code quality by writing clean, well-documented software and participating in thorough peer code reviews.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for solving complex problems. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or Chemistry.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in full stack development, covering both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one other high-level language, such as C, C++, or Java.
- Experience with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Strong working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and systems like PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Familiarity with Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and software testing principles.
Location
This position is based in New Haven, CT. We operate on a hybrid schedule, requiring you to work from our office at least 3 days per week.
