Genius Sports is a global leader in sports technology, connecting fans, brands, and leagues through official live data. Since our 2021 NYSE listing, we have partnered with major organizations like the NFL and the English Premier League to build a more sustainable sports data ecosystem, and we are now looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain web applications that support our hybrid automated and operator-led data collection systems.
- Work across the entire stack, including frontend interfaces, backend APIs, and database management.
- Uphold high engineering standards by focusing on documentation, deployment processes, and consistent coding practices.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to share technical knowledge and brainstorm innovative solutions.
- Conduct performance analysis and monitoring to ensure our systems remain efficient and reliable.
Must-haves
- 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven ability to develop robust web applications.
- Proficiency with React and SQL relational databases.
- Solid understanding of modern development practices, distributed systems, and performance tuning.
- A strong desire to learn and engage with various technologies used across our engineering organization.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with TypeScript and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with Three.js, HTML5, or Canvas for real-time, interactive frontend experiences.
- Knowledge of backend languages such as Rust, C#, or Kotlin.
- Experience working with video processing tools like ffmpeg.

The base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on your experience and location.
