Full-Stack Software Engineer at Pictorus

We are Pictorus, an Oakland-based startup dedicated to simplifying the way people interact with hardware. Our team has spent over two decades developing robotics and vehicle software for organizations like NASA, the Department of Defense, and various drone innovators. We are currently looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. In this role, you will have the freedom to design and implement technical solutions across our entire stack, helping us make powerful device software accessible to everyone from hobbyists to professional researchers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust technical solutions across our full software stack.
• Architect, build, and support AWS environments, including both traditional and serverless implementations.
• Develop high-quality user interfaces and production-grade backend services using modern frameworks and languages.

Requirements

• You have 5 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• You are proficient in TypeScript, Python, and NodeJS.
• You have experience building user interfaces with VueJS or React.
• You are authorized to work in the United States, as we are unable to provide sponsorship.
• You are ideally located in the San Francisco Bay Area to facilitate our hybrid office presence in Oakland.
• Bonus points if you have experience with Rust, AWS, or device-level programming like Arduinos, Jetsons, or Raspberry Pis.
