What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Content and Instruction team. This is a full-time, remote position available to candidates located anywhere. You will play a vital role in shaping the tools teachers use to plan and deliver curriculum, working in an environment that values ownership, rapid iteration, and a deep connection to our users.

What will you do?

• Collaborate closely with our product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, end-to-end features that scale to millions of users.
• Execute full-stack development across our web application using React for the frontend and Python, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch for our backend systems.
• Contribute to our technical roadmap and engineering culture by participating in design proposals and helping us refine our development processes.

What makes you a great fit?

We are looking for someone who has a strong command of modern web technologies and a passion for building elegant, maintainable solutions. You should be comfortable working within complex systems and have a solid foundation in computer science.

• At least 5 years of experience shipping features across both frontend and backend stacks.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining software at scale, ideally with web applications that serve large user bases.
• Proficiency with at least one SPA framework, such as React, and experience working with REST APIs or GraphQL.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate effectively in English while working in a remote, distributed environment.
• An inherent product sense and a drive to build robust, performant features that directly improve the user experience.
