Pictor.us is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer

We are Pictorus, an Oakland-based startup dedicated to simplifying the software interfaces that make working with hardware so difficult. With a team that has spent over two decades building robotics and vehicle software for organizations like NASA, the DoD, and various drone innovators, we are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help us make powerful device technology accessible to everyone.

Responsibilities

Design and implement technical solutions across our entire software stack.
Develop user interfaces using VueJS or React.
Build and maintain production-grade backend services using Python and NodeJS.
Architect and support AWS environments, including both traditional and serverless implementations.
Collaborate within a team that values humility and collective success over individual egos.

Must-haves

Five to ten years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in both TypeScript and Python.
Proven experience developing production backend services and UI frameworks.
Ability to work in the United States, as we cannot provide sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

Residency in the San Francisco Bay Area for our hybrid office in Oakland.
Expert-level skills in TypeScript and NodeJS backend development.
Experience building production applications using Rust.
Deep expertise in AWS infrastructure.
A passion for device-level coding, such as working with Arduinos, Jetsons, or Raspberry Pis.
