Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the core NewsCred API that powers our entire platform.
- Develop server-side applications using Node.js and client-side interfaces with Angular.js.
- Manage our distributed systems responsible for curating and consuming licensed content from thousands of global providers.
- Improve our search and analytics infrastructure to ensure high performance.
- Take ownership of our system architecture and focus on scaling our services on AWS.
- Work across a diverse technology stack including Python, Django, Celery, RabbitMQ, Apache Solr, Java, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Ansible, and Unix.
- Maintain high standards for code quality by writing comprehensive tests.
Must-haves
- Extensive experience in Software Engineering with a focus on full stack development.
- Strong proficiency in API Development.
- Deep technical knowledge of Node.js and Python.
- Experience managing infrastructure and services on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with database and search technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Apache SOLR.
- Familiarity with message queuing systems like RabbitMQ and automation tools like Ansible.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Ability to work on-site in Bangladesh.
