Boom Entertainment is a technology leader dedicated to powering the most successful platforms in online gaming and sports betting. We partner with major media companies, professional sports leagues, and prominent casino operators, including names like NBC Sports, DraftKings, and Penn National Gaming. Our work spans two primary verticals: high-performance sports products, such as our own Boom Fantasy application, and a suite of innovative casino games for the global iGaming market. We are looking for driven, curious, and reliable engineers to join our remote team and help us continue to build technology that entertains millions of sports fans.
Key outcomes
- Work alongside designers, fellow engineers, and leadership to make technical decisions that address complex challenges and expand our core capabilities.
- Build and implement new social features and game formats by navigating our full stack, from storage and event layers to server and presentation components.
- Ensure high-quality end-user experiences by optimizing performance across local execution, networked resources, and large-scale operations.
- Contribute to our product roadmap and daily operations through active participation in stand-ups and ongoing discussions regarding design patterns and best practices.
- Engage deeply with the gaming industry by participating in the testing, design, and evaluation of our latest product features.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience working with React Native.
- At least 3 years of experience with modern web technologies, specifically NodeJS, MongoDB, and React Redux.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot effectively and apply creative, critical thinking to technical problems.
- Strong collaborative skills, including clear written and verbal communication.
- Professional experience developing and maintaining APIs within a Microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding of client-server communication, including REST, WebSockets, gRPC, and event-based architectures.
- A genuine interest in the sports or sports betting industries.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience as a software engineer on consumer-facing (B2C) products.
- Proven success integrating third-party APIs at scale.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Compensation
The target salary range for this role is $90,000 to $125,000, depending on your level of experience. We encourage you to apply even if your expectations fall outside this range, as we are constantly growing and may have flexibility based on the specific level of the position.
