We are Symmetry Systems, the company dedicated to Data and AI security. We build a platform that helps organizations manage their data security posture, giving them the confidence to innovate while protecting sensitive information from threats, misuse, and accidental exposure. We are looking for a motivated student to join us as a Full Stack Software Engineer Intern for the summer of 2025. This is a remote opportunity that allows you to gain real-world experience in the fast-paced world of data security from anywhere in the United States.
What you'll be doing
- You will help our team design, build, and test new features for our core security platform.
- You will work alongside cross-functional groups to tackle projects involving data analysis and visualization.
- You will contribute to our software development lifecycle by completing tasks under the mentorship of our senior engineers.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should be currently working toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualifications:
- Strong skills in problem-solving and debugging complex issues.
- Practical experience with JavaScript and Python.
- Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Gitlab.
- The ability to communicate effectively and collaborate well within a team environment.
- A self-driven mindset that allows you to work independently when needed.
