Since 2006, we've been committed to innovation and building strong client relationships. We are expanding our team and are seeking an experienced, full-time Software Developer with demonstrated expertise in crafting intuitive user interfaces, delivering robust, responsive web designs, and resolving complex coding issues through advanced debugging and programming skills.

About the role

As a member of our Technology Team, you'll be integral to the continued growth and enhancement of our cutting-edge software platforms. We are looking for someone who thrives in complex problem-solving situations, as their main focus will be on complex debugging and resolving intricate technical issues. Our ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior-level developer (5+ years of experience) who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position is perfect for someone who loves to code, is quick to learn new technologies, and wants to develop in a full stack environment.

This is an in-person role based out of our Sherwood Park, AB office.

In this role, you will be expected to:

Requirement Gathering and Documentation: Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to gather and convert user requirements into technical specifications.

Troubleshooting and Debugging: Resolving high-priority software issues and providing ongoing support.

Code Development and Testing: Writing, updating, implementing, and testing software code.

Workflow Management: Prioritizing tasks based on case levels set by support and management teams.

Effective Communication: Providing timely updates on case statuses and resolution recommendations.

Technical Guidance: Ensuring deliverables align with business and end-user needs during development.

Client Support: Acting as a technical resource for clients, troubleshooting system issues, and meeting requirements.

Infrastructure Development: Working on long-term projects in AWS and Azure environments.

Quality Assurance: Contributing to testing and ensuring software reliability.

Code Documentation: Maintaining clear and thorough documentation of code updates.

UI Enhancements: Updating interfaces to improve customer experience.

Extensive Development Experience: strong coding skills in React.js and backend technologies like ColdFusion, PHP, .NET, or Java.

Problem-Solving Expertise: Proven ability to debug complex software issues and deliver effective solutions.

Responsive Design Proficiency: Significant experience in responsive web design and user interface (UI) development.

Positive and Professional Attitude: Maintaining a solution-based approach to challenges with a professional demeanor.

Adaptable and Eager to Learn: Comfortable taking on new projects in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Collaborative and Independent: Thrives in team settings and can also excel independently.

Strong Communication Skills: Effectively conveys complex technical issues in an understandable manner.

Commitment to Growth: Dedicated to staying updated on emerging technologies and enhancing skills continuously.

Qualifications we are looking for:

5+ years as a software developer with strong coding skills in React.js and backend technologies like ColdFusion, PHP, .NET, or Java.

Experience with HTML5 and CSS3

Knowledge of MySQL Database

Responsive design experience

Possess strong English written and oral communication skills

Bonus points if you have:

Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.

Familiarity with both front-end and back-end development, allowing you to contribute across the full stack.
