We are an outdoor technology company behind Dockwa.com and Marinas.com, where we build marketplaces that connect boaters with marinas while providing the tools those businesses need to succeed. As a member of our team, you will join a group of about 60 people, including 14 in engineering, who value a high-trust environment and a culture of continuous learning. We are fully remote, though we make sure to gather in person several times throughout the year to stay connected.

What you'll be doing

• You will work within a dedicated pod alongside a designer and a product manager to build and maintain software that directly impacts the daily lives of marina operators and boaters.
• You will take on a leadership role for specific project threads within your pod and across the broader engineering organization.
• You will collectively own our technology stack, ensuring our platforms remain stable and scalable as we continue to grow.

What you'll bring

We are looking for a senior engineer with at least 4 years of professional experience who is comfortable working in English. You should have a strong background in the following areas:

• Object-oriented web programming, with a preference for Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly Postgres.
• Knowledge of caching and queueing systems, such as Sidekiq and Redis.
• Proficiency in frontend development and UX, ideally with React.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog.
• A deep understanding of testing, profiling, and debugging practices.
• The ability to manage CI/CD pipelines and apply critical thinking to complex systems design.
• A proactive approach to maintaining a healthy, collaborative team culture.
