Full Stack Engineer at accesso

What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team in Milan, Italy. This is a full-time position that operates on a hybrid basis, allowing you to balance your time between our office and working from home. You will be a key contributor to the accesso Horizon platform, which is our unified system for ticketing and visitor management. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers to maintain and evolve a global platform that supports complex scaling and distribution needs.

What will you do?

• Take full ownership of the service lifecycle, which includes everything from initial development and alpha testing to deployment and production operations.
• Maintain existing codebases to ensure they meet our high standards while documenting new features and bug fixes as they are implemented.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support system upgrades, implementation, and training efforts.

You should be comfortable working in an English-speaking environment and possess the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience, though we encourage you to apply if you have the right skills even if your tenure differs.
• Strong proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented languages, along with experience in JSP technologies.
• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
• A deep understanding of cloud computing methodologies, specifically focusing on high availability, scalability, and resilience using AWS Services.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools and Tomcat environments.
• A collaborative mindset with experience working in Scrum teams, though you should also be capable of working independently.
