Full Stack Engineer at AnyRoad

AnyRoad is the premier provider of experiential marketing software. We believe that in-person experiences provide brands with the best opportunities to build lasting relationships, foster brand advocates, and drive revenue growth. Our unified platform connects back-end operations like booking and payments with consumer feedback and analytics, helping global brands scale their event strategies. We are currently looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Experience Platform team in the United States. This role is based out of our San Francisco office, with an expectation to be on-site every Tuesday and Thursday.

Key outcomes

• Architect and implement robust business logic using Ruby on Rails and relational databases.
• Develop and maintain high-performance APIs to support our web user interface.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to plan, estimate, and gather requirements for new features.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while upholding our high standards for test coverage.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using modern monitoring and telemetry tools.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including system design, code reviews, incident rotations, and production releases.
• Contribute to our engineering culture by sharing innovative ideas and maintaining thorough technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in designing, building, and deploying web applications at scale.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React, or a comparable backend and frontend stack.
• Significant experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems such as DynamoDB and Redis.
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns for high-scale backends, including efficient algorithms and resilient API design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across virtual teams.
• A selfless, collaborative, and inclusive mindset.
• Current authorization to work in the United States, as we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time.

Preferred qualifications

• A degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Interest or experience in high-throughput transactional systems, payment processing, or DevOps.
