Project Healthy Minds is a mental health tech non-profit startup on a mission to address the growing mental health crisis. We believe that finding mental health support should be as simple as booking a flight or a restaurant reservation. To achieve this, we are building the world’s first digital marketplace for mental health services. About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As an early member of our growing team, you will be responsible for building a flexible backend infrastructure and implementing our frontend web design. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering practices, including overseeing technical architecture and potentially managing external contractors to support our development goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end product development for our user-facing web application, focusing on both incremental improvements and the creation of entirely new features.
• Architect and maintain robust backend infrastructure and data pipelines to ensure our marketplace remains scalable, secure, and performant.
• Define our engineering standards and technical roadmap, including making critical decisions regarding our tech stack and data architecture.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about mental health and has a proven track record in a fast-paced startup environment. You should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
• At least 5 to 7 years of professional programming experience, specifically as a Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in Python or Node.js.
• Proficiency in modern web development using HTML, CSS, and at least one major JavaScript framework such as React.js, AngularJS, or Backbone.js.
• Extensive experience with database technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL, alongside a strong understanding of database optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, and experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Location

This position is based in the United States and requires an on-site presence.

Compensation and Benefits
