About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is a hybrid position that requires you to work from our Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA office for two to three days each week. You will be instrumental in designing and maintaining high-performance systems, collaborating with a talented group of developers and stakeholders to deliver impactful software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust, high-performance Python applications while ensuring code quality through Test-Driven Development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and product managers, to build and ship scalable features using microservices architecture.
- Develop and optimize document-based data models in MongoDB, utilizing aggregation pipelines and indexing strategies to ensure peak performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience working within large distributed systems, with strong proficiency in Python and Angular.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing databases such as SQL or MongoDB.
- A solid understanding of event-driven programming and asynchronous workflows, specifically using Kafka.
- Proficiency with version control tools like Git and a demonstrated ability to work within a microservices environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Preferred: Experience with FastAPI, previous consulting work, or a background in the financial services industry.
Location
This position is based in the United States, with a required hybrid presence in our Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA offices.
