Full Stack Engineer at Poplar Homes

By using our proprietary platform and a dedicated team, we manage over 15,000 doors across 25 major markets. We are currently looking for talented individuals who want to help us make renting and managing homes as simple as handling a stock portfolio.

What is this role?

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the Philippines. This is a mid-level position perfect for someone who loves solving complex problems and turning creative ideas into reality. You will play a vital role in our engineering department, helping us maintain and improve the technology that powers our coast-to-coast operations.

What will you do?

• You will research, design, and manage software programs while writing clean, efficient code.
• You will test new functionalities, develop quality assurance procedures, and deploy tools to keep our systems running smoothly.
• You will collaborate closely with UX designers, business analysts, and fellow developers to identify areas for modification and upgrade our existing systems.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have at least two years of experience in designing and maintaining web applications, along with a degree in Computer Science or a related field. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building a killer codebase and who can explain technical concepts to non-technical team members clearly. Your technical toolkit should include the following:

• Proficiency in Node.js, React, GraphQL, and Python.
• Experience with MVC frameworks, specifically Redux and Express.
• Hands-on experience working with databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• A working knowledge of AWS is considered a plus.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to clarify project requirements with management.
