Full Stack Engineer at Nift

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-impact position where you will have direct visibility into how your contributions drive our growth. We value a DevOps mindset, so you should be just as comfortable working on our AWS infrastructure as you are writing clean, efficient application code.

What will you do?

• Take ownership of full stack projects from start to finish, including designing database schemas and building responsive front-end interfaces.
• Work alongside our Chief Architect to design, evolve, and maintain our AWS infrastructure, including services like EC2, RDS, and ECS.
• Manage our CI/CD pipelines, monitor overall system health, and proactively troubleshoot performance issues to keep our platform running smoothly.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should be a data-driven developer who values clean, maintainable code. We are looking for someone with at least three years of professional experience in full stack development. You should be proficient in Ruby on Rails and possess a strong understanding of SQL databases like PostgreSQL. Because we focus heavily on our platform's reliability, you must have hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, Linux environments, and CI/CD workflows. Familiarity with JavaScript and Vue is highly valued, as is experience with Docker. Above all, we look for candidates who possess grit, tenacity, and a strong sense of ownership over their work.
