We are building the world’s first digital marketplace to make finding mental health services as simple as booking a flight. By bringing together business leaders, clinicians, athletes, and policymakers, we are creating interdisciplinary solutions to a complex crisis. If you want to use your engineering expertise to drive meaningful social change, we want to meet you.
Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team in New York City. This is a full-time, on-site position for an experienced developer who thrives in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment. You will be instrumental in shaping our technical foundation and helping us scale our platform to reach those who need it most.
Your impact
- Lead the end-to-end development of our user-facing web application, balancing incremental improvements with the creation of entirely new features.
- Architect robust systems and backend infrastructure that prioritize security, scalability, and performance while managing complex data pipelines.
- Shape our internal engineering culture by establishing best practices, mentoring team members, and overseeing the integration of external contractors.
What you'll need
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong blend of technical skill and a passion for mental health advocacy. You should meet the following criteria:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-7+ years of professional programming experience, specifically as a full stack developer with expertise in Python or Node.js.
- Proven ability to build web applications using HTML, CSS, and at least one JavaScript framework such as React.js, AngularJS, or Backbone.js.
- Deep understanding of database design and optimization, including SQL and NoSQL environments.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, along with familiarity in CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Perks and compensation
The annual salary for this position is $150,000 to $215,000, based on your experience and skills. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life, disability, and mental healthcare coverage.
- Generous paid time off and paid holidays.
- Commuter benefits and perks at work.
- A dedicated learning budget and development opportunities.
- The chance to work alongside a highly motivated team with direct access to our Board of Directors and influential advisors.
