At Dexxter, we are dedicated to simplifying the financial lives of freelancers and small business owners. Our accounting software currently supports over 18,000 users, and we continue to grow as thousands of new people sign up for trials every month. We operate as a tight-knit engineering team consisting of four engineers and our CTO, focusing on building meaningful features that provide real value in a domain where accuracy is paramount. We are looking for a teammate who is eager to take ownership of product development and help us scale our systems sustainably.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a full-time position. In this role, you will work end-to-end on our product, taking features from the initial idea stage all the way to production. You will have the autonomy to shape our technical direction while working within a serverless AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently design, build, and deliver complete features across the frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Systematically analyze and resolve complex problems when systems do not perform as expected.
- Contribute strategic ideas to enhance our overall architecture, system reliability, and the daily experience of our development team.
Requirements
This is a senior-level role, and we generally look for candidates with more than 7 years of professional software development experience. You should be comfortable working in a startup environment and possess the following qualifications:
- Proven ability to deliver features independently from start to finish.
- Experience working with our core technology stack, including Vue, Node.js, and GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and OpenSearch.
- A product-focused mindset that prioritizes long-term quality and architectural integrity.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage in an open, collaborative feedback culture.
Location
This position is based in Belgium. We operate with a hybrid work model, requiring you to be in our Mechelen office at least 2 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of your time.
